Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is likely to launch its next-gen flagships, the iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Pro this year. While the company did not officially announce the models, several industry leaks have surfaced online, bringing the purported devices into the limelight. Here is everything we expect about the Apple premium smartphones.
iPhone 18 Pro Series Design
In terms of designing, the American company is likely to revise the design of both the smartphones. It may plan to move Face ID components underneath the display. If it happens, the Dynamic Island cutout visible on current iPhones might disappear from the Pro models. Moreover, Apple could use a smaller punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, placed near the top-left side at the screen.
The primary camera layout is anticipated to remain similar; however, Apple is expected to bring smaller refinements in texture, materials and overall finish to give the phones a more premium appearance. It seems that these smartphones may debut in burgundy, purple and coffee brown colours.
iPhone 18 Pro Series Performance
Both the purported smartphones are likely to be powered by Apple’s forthcoming A20 Pro processor. Reports point out that the chipset might be built using the TSMC’s advanced manufacturing process, which is likely to boost power efficiency and internal design. Leaks also highlight that the latest chipset could bring nearly 15 per cent better performance on iPhone 18 Pro selfies and nearly 30 per cent better efficiency to these devices. This improvement could also help Apple Intelligence features to function more efficiently.
iPhone 18 Pro Series Battery
Speaking of the battery backup, the company is anticipated to increase the thickness of these devices to pack a larger battery. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is tipped to house a 5,100mAh battery. Apple is likely to launch these smartphones in September this year if it follows its annual launch pattern.
iPhone 18 Pro Series India Pricing
Reports suggest that the iPhone 18 Pro could debut in India at a starting price of Rs 1,40,000 while the iPhone 18 Pro Max is likely to begin at Rs 1,54,000.
