OpenAI’s ChatGPT appeared to experience another outage on Wednesday, according to outage-tracking website Downdetector, with more than 15,000 users reporting issues with the platform. Downdetector aggregates real-time status reports from multiple sources to monitor service disruptions.
OpenAI also acknowledged the problem on its status page, stating that “ChatGPT availability is impacted” due to degraded performance, with users experiencing elevated error rates. The company said it has identified the issue and is working to implement a mitigation.
The reports come just a day after a larger outage on Tuesday, when more than 28,000 users flagged problems accessing ChatGPT.
