If You Want To Earn Money On Instagram And Facebook, This Is The Right Time: Here Is Why

Mark Zuckerberg-owned social media platform Meta has announced Facebook Affiliate Partnerships, a new feature that will allow creators to earn money through commissions by tagging products directly in their posts and Reels. This means your Instagram and Facebook feed will soon filled with content with shopping links.
The announcement was made at Shoptalk where the company showcased how the new system simplifies product promotion and purchases on the platform.
“Today at Shoptalk we’re announcing Facebook affiliate partnerships, a new way for you to earn from partners by sharing the products you love from trusted affiliate partners. Creators can now tag affiliate products directly in their Facebook posts and Reels; no link-in-bio, no ‘swipe up,’ no looking in comments for a link. Your audience sees the product, taps and shops, and you can earn,” the company said in a blog post.
How It Works

With this update, Facebook and Instagram users can tag products in their photo posts and Reels. Once connected, a prominent and clickable affiliate banner may appear on the content, making product recommendations more visible to followers.
When viewers come across a product they like, they can tap on it to shop instantly. They will be redirected either to the affiliate partner’s app or a mobile website to complete the purchase.
Creators will earn a commission from affiliate partners on every qualifying sale made through these tagged products, simplifying the process of monetising content on Facebook.
“To start, we are launching with affiliate partners that offer an incredible range of products from everyday essentials to top brands, and unique finds across every category. — Amazon and Shopee. Amazon is rolling out in the US, and Shopee is available in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Brazil and Taiwan,” the compant said.
Meta says it plans to expand its affiliate partnerships in the coming months by adding new platforms across key markets. This includes Mercado Libre in Brazil and Mexico as well as Temu and eBay in the United States. The company also hinted that more markets and partners will be introduced over time as it continues to grow the program.
“We’re also testing new, actionable insights so you can understand what content is driving sales, see what’s resonating with your audience and optimise your content to maximize earnings,” the social media giant said.
How To Get Started

– See what affiliate programs are eligible to connect to your Facebook.
– If you don’t have one already, create an affiliate account with one of our eligible partners.
– Go to your professional dashboard to the monetisation section, and if your page or Professional Mode profile are eligible, you’ll see affiliate partnerships.
– In affiliate partnerships, you can see what affiliate programs are available to you, click on one of them and connect your affiliate account to Facebook.
“Once your accounts are linked, you can search in affiliate partnerships and find products to recommend to your audience. You can search by product name or category, and see the potential commission, product details and product rating. Or, if you already have affiliate links from one of our affiliate partners, you can add them to your posts and we will auto detect them,” the company noted.
