Users of Facebook have reported difficulties accessing the platform, with complaints rising across the United States and other countries on Tuesday. The outage-tracking website Downdetector showed a sharp increase in reports from users who said the site was either not loading properly or was unavailable.
Most of the complaints related to problems with the website itself, while others said they were unable to log in or view their news feeds.
Meta, Facebook’s parent company, did not immediately comment on the disruption.
