Vivo is all set to launch the Vivo S2 tomorrow at 12 PM IST and the Chinese smartphone maker has already confirmed key specifications, giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect from the upcoming device. From a large curved AMOLED display and a big battery to a new MediaTek chipset and AI-powered software features, here’s everything you need to know about the Vivo S2 before it goes official.
Vivo S2 Specifications
The China-based smartphone maker has confirmed that the Vivo S2 will be available in Regal Bronze, Sapphire Blue and Silk White colour options. The handset houses a 6.83-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. Vivo also says the panel carries SGS Low Blue Light and SGS Five-Star Sunlight Readable Display certifications.
The device is going to be powered the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, which Vivo claims has achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of 9,70,000. The Vivo S2 has a 7050 mAh battery and the handset measures just 7.99mm thick.
On the camera front, the Vivo S2 comes equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary sensor, while selfies and video calls are handled by a 32-megapixel front camera. Both cameras support 4K video recording, making the phone suitable for users who frequently create content. The smartphone will ship with OriginOS 6 and include several AI-powered features, including AI Creation, AI Transcript Assist, Circle to Search 2.0 and Shake and Share, allowing users to transfer files between compatible devices with a simple gesture.
Vivo S2 Price In India And Availability
Although Vivo has not officially announced the pricing, recent leaks suggest the 8GB + 128GB variant could be priced at around Rs 44,999, while the 8GB + 256GB version is expected to cost approximately Rs 49,999. The Vivo S2 will be sold through the Vivo India online store and Amazon after launch.
