Alongside the Pixel 11 series phones, Google has launched the new Pixel Watch 5 smartwatch in India. The latest wearable device comes in two sizes — 41mm and 45m. The Pixel Watch 5 is priced at Rs 42,900 for the 41mm model, while the larger 45mm variant costs Rs 45,900. Google is offering the smartwatch in multiple colours — including Matte Black with Obsidian, Polished Silver with Fog and Satin Pyrite with Olive. The 41mm model also gets a Champagne Gold finish with a Canyon band. Both variants feature a 100 per cent recycled aluminium housing and come with the second-generation Active Band.
Google Pixel Watch 5 Specifications
The Pixel Watch 5 comes with an Actua 360 display with a custom 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 cover. The AMOLED LTPO panel has a 320ppi pixel density and supports up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. It also supports an always-on display and a refresh rate that can dynamically move between 1Hz and 60Hz.
One of the biggest upgrades is the battery. The 41mm model packs a 332mAh battery and is rated to last up to 30 hours with the always-on display enabled. Battery Saver mode can extend this to up to 48 hours. The 45mm model comes with a larger 465mAh battery and can deliver up to 40 hours of usage with always-on display and up to 72 hours in Battery Saver mode.
Under the hood, both models are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated platform with a Cortex-M55 co-processor. The smartwatch runs Wear OS 7 and comes with 64GB of storage. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, Ultra-Wideband and dual-frequency GPS.
For health and fitness tracking, the Pixel Watch 5 comes with an optical heart-rate sensor, ECG support, SpO2 monitoring, skin temperature sensing and cEDA-based body response tracking. It also includes a compass, altimeter, accelerometer, gyroscope and barometer.
The smartwatch is rated 5 ATM for water resistance and has an IP68 rating. It also supports touchless one-handed gestures, a haptic crown and built-in microphone and speaker. Google says the Pixel Watch 5 is compatible with most Android phones running Android 12 or newer.
