Times Group’s Gaana App Makes An Appearance During iPhone 18 Pro Launch

Apple’s Surprise and Shine event was dominated by the presence of iPhone Duo and the Pro models. However, amidst all that stuff, one of the Indian music apps also managed to grab eyeballs. During the event, Times Group’s music streaming platform Gaana made an appearance in Apple’s presentation.
This small debut is noteworthy because Apple’s September event could be dubbed one of the biggest annual showcases, with more than millions of people all over the globe waiting to see the new device lineup of the Cupertino-based giant. Gaana was among the apps seen as a part of Apple’s broader demonstration of the iPhone experience. This incident puts an Indian-developed music platform in front of the large global audience of Apple.
As for Gaana, it hails as one of India’s major music streaming platforms and has made its presence felt around regional Indian music, podcasts, Bollywood music, and a lot of other genres to be mentioned. As per the official App Store listing, the app offers access to a library of more than 30 million songs in different regional languages. Furthermore, the users also get an option to get personalised recommendations, podcasts, playlists, Car Mode, and music downloads for the premium subscribers.
And having such an app in the showcase of Apple’s most ambitious phone lineup gives the Indian platform a plethora of visibility, especially at a time when Apple continues to showcase how third-party apps fit its broader ecosystem. Gaana is not limited to iPhone, as the app is currently available over multiple devices in Apple’s ecosystem, like iPad, Apple Watch, Apple Vision, and Mac as well. The App Store listing of Gaana also suggests that it supports Siri as well and lets users interact with the app using Apple’s upgraded voice assistant. The latest event was, of course, to showcase Apple’s hardware, but these moments show that the company is also using presentations and demonstrations of services that run seamlessly on its devices.c
