South Korean tech giant Samsung has launched its new premium tablets – Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. Galaxy Tab S12 series is powered by a new 3nm processor, long battery life, Galaxy AI features and a slim design. Both the tablets will be available from October 7 in select markets in Gray and Silver colour options. Samsung is also promising up to seven generations of OS upgrades and security updates.
Galaxy Tab S12 Series Specifications
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is just 5.1mm thick. The tablet comes with a large 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ gets a 12.6-inch screen. Both tablets support up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness and feature an upgraded Vision Booster that adjusts brightness based on surrounding lighting conditions.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S12 series is powered by a new 3nm processor. The company claims that the new chip delivers up to 61 per cent faster NPU performance, 19 per cent faster CPU performance and 17 per cent better GPU performance compared to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
A redesigned 3D Vapor Chamber has also been added to help manage heat during demanding tasks such as video editing and graphic designing.
Battery life is another major upgrade. According to the Korean giant, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra can deliver up to 23 hours of battery life on a single charge, while the Tab S12+ can last up to 21 hours. Both tablets support 45W charging and can reportedly charge from 0 to 100 per cent in around 95 minutes.
The tablets run Android 17 with One UI 9 and come with the latest Galaxy AI features. Users can run up to three apps at the same time using Multi Window, making it easier to take notes, watch videos and use AI tools together.
Both models also come with an S Pen for writing, drawing and editing.
The Galaxy Tab S12 series also gets access to Google AI Pro, including Gemini and Gemini Notebook. Samsung is also offering several productivity and creative apps, including Adobe Photoshop, Notability, Goodnotes, LumaFusion and Notion.
It is important to note that Samsung has not yet revealed the India price of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. We are waiting for more details from the company.
