Google Fitbit Edge Design Leaks Ahead Of Global Launch, Here Is What To Expect

After launching screen-less fitness tracker Fitbit Air, Google is now reportedly planning to bring a new Fitbit fitness tracker with a small display. Called the Fitbit Edge, the upcoming wearable has leaked online, giving us an early look at its design and features.
According to Android Headlines, the Fitbit Edge will feature a small display, unlike the recently launched screen-less Fitbit Air. The leaked images show a compact fitness tracker with an oval-shaped pill-like display that can show information such as the time, date, steps, heart rate and workout details.
As the report, the upcoming fitness tracker may also offer up to seven days of battery life. The leaked details suggest that the tracker will come with built-in GPS and an altimeter for tracking elevation. It is also expected to support automatic activity recognition, which will allow it to detect certain workouts without requiring users to manually start them.
The display will also make the Fitbit Edge more useful for everyday use.
According to the leak, the tracker may support phone notifications along with features such as Google Maps, music controls and Find My Phone.
However, it is not expected to offer the complete smartwatch experience available on Google’s Pixel Watch series. Another interesting detail is compatibility. The Fitbit Edge is reportedly expected to work with both Android smartphones and iPhones.
The leaked design also hints that Google may position the Fitbit Edge as a successor to the Charge series. The Fitbit Charge 6 was launched in 2023, and the company has not introduced a direct successor since then.
As per the details shared by Android Headlines, the Fitbit Edge could be available in Obsidian, Olive and Canyon colour options. The wearable is also expected to be priced between $149 and $199, although this has not been confirmed yet.
Google has not officially announced the Fitbit Edge, so its specifications, price and launch date should be treated as leaked information for now.
