Meet The Figure AI Humanoid That Can Fold Laundry, Clean Rooms And Make Beds

In a world that is driven by artificial intelligence, your daily chores are also likely to be taken over by AI. A robotics company, Figure AI, has revealed two humanoid robots that are capable of making a bed and cleaning a bedroom in less than two minutes. The times are not far when a sci-fi scene can turn into reality with Jarvis-like AI assistants coming to life.

How Humanoid Robots Are the Future
In a newly released video, these humanoids could be seen walking into a bedroom and starting to tidy up like a human companion preparing a room before guests arrive. One of the robots is seen hanging up a coat and headphones while the other shuts down a laptop.
The pair further move to opposite sides of the bed and straighten the pillows and comforter.
What sets these humanoids apart is their capability of not being remotely controlled. As per their manufacturer, these robots work fully autonomously and coordinated, using only visual signals such as head nods. Making a bed is easier for humans and might take only a few minutes. For robots, this is a difficult task, explains the company.
For humanoids, soft objects like comforters and blankets keep changing their shape, making them hard for the machines to handle and predict the details of the objects. Unlike the solid objects, these fabric folds, slips and drapes separate every time.
These robots have to understand what they do in real time and adjust their movements accordingly. They require you to move around the room while switching between various cleaning tasks. Moreover, the AI company mentioned that there was “no explicit messaging” between both these humanoids. Rather, they coordinated through visual observation, behaving almost like silent teammates in a carefully organised task.

All About The Helix 02 Model
These robots are powered by the Figure AI’s Helix 02 model, which was introduced earlier this year. The AI startup says the system has been trained on additional data to help robots operate more household and logistics tasks. Other than making beds, these humanoids can open doors, fold laundry, move furniture, clean kitchens and organise living spaces.
While these robots are not available for wider consumers, their demonstration provides a glimpse into a future where robots can become your true companion for household chores.
