Xiaomi launched its latest Xiaomi 18 Pro and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in China on Wednesday. These smartphones come with the same design as the Xiaomi 17 Pro and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. However, they get some of the notable upgrades. From specifications to colours, here is everything you need to know on the latest Xiaomi smartphones.
Xiaomi 18 Pro And Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Specifications
The Xiaomi 18 Pro features a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max offers a 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness.
Both these handsets now get a secondary AMOLED screen at the back. The Xiaomi 18 Pro comes with a 2.7-inch panel whereas the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max houses a 2.9-inch screen.
Speaking of the processors, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Both the processors are built on a 2nm process. These smartphones offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
For optics, both the handsets house a triple back camera setup. This comprises a 200MP main lens with OIS, a 200MP telephoto shooter and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. These smartphones can shoot videos in 8K at 30fps. At the front, they get a 50MP lens for clicking selfies and attending video calls.
In terms of battery, the Xiaomi 18 Pro gets a 7,000mAh battery. Meanwhile the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max packs an 8,500mAh battery. Both the devices support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Additionally, both the smartphones run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4 based on Android 17.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro has been launched in China at a starting price of 5,999 yuan (approximately $895). The smartphone is available in four configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage priced at 5,999 yuan ($895), 12GB + 512GB at 6,999 yuan ($1,045), 16GB + 512GB at 7,999 yuan ($1,194), and the top-end 16GB + 1TB variant at 8,999 yuan ($1,343).
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max starts at 6,999 yuan (approximately $1,045). Its 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at 6,999 yuan ($1,045), while the 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB variants are priced at 7,999 yuan ($1,194), 8,999 yuan ($1,343) and 9,999 yuan ($1,492), respectively.
