Apple ‘Pro And Tell’ Event On October 28: Touchscreen MacBook Pro, New iPad Mini And More Expected

After hosting its ‘Welcome Home’ event earlier this month, where Apple launched the new HomeView smart display, HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K, the Cupertino-based tech giant has confirmed another hardware launch event called ‘Pro and Tell’ on October 28. While Apple has not revealed which products it plans to launch at the event, thanks to leaks and rumours, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
The event was teased by Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing,Greg Joswiak, who shared a post on social media saying, “Can’t wait to pro and tell next week.” The event will take place in Los Angeles, California, at 10 AM local time, which is 10:30 PM IST on October 28.
Apple MacBook Pro With Touchscreen Expected

One of the biggest announcements of the event could be a new MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen display. If the reports are accurate, this would mark a major change for Apple’s MacBook lineup, as the company has traditionally relied on keyboards, trackpads and external touch input rather than touchscreen displays.
The upcoming high-end MacBook Pro models are expected to feature a redesigned body that could be thinner and lighter than the current models.
The iPhone maker may also replace the existing display notch with a Dynamic Island-style cutout, similar to the feature available on its iPhones. The new models are reportedly expected to come with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. However, Apple has not confirmed these specifications yet.
New MacBook Pro And iMac Models Also Expected

Apart from the high-end touchscreen MacBook Pro, Apple could introduce a new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by its next-generation M6 chip. This model is expected to retain the existing design, with the main upgrade being the new processor.
The company may also announce an updated iMac with the M6 chip. While major design changes are not expected, the new processor is rumoured improve performance compared to the existing model.
New iPad Mini

The Cupertino- based tech giant is also expected to refresh the iPad mini. The upcoming model is said feature an OLED display, which may offer better contrast and deeper blacks than a traditional LCD screen. Other reported changes include an updated speaker system and a front camera repositioned for landscape use.
Apple has not officially confirmed the full product lineup. More details, including pricing and availability in India, are expected once the company makes its announcements.
