ChatGPT Can Now Read Your Chrome Tabs, Compare Websites And Help Complete Tasks

OpenAI is on a roll to bring new features and make ChatGPT a bigger part of users’ lives. The Sam Altman-led firm now lets ChatGPT support users with their open Google Chrome tabs and help them with their everyday tasks. Users can ask the AI chatbot to compare information across websites, explain articles, check subscription plans and even fill out online forms without moving between different windows.
The tech giant announced an update to ChatGPT’s voice capabilities, offering 13 new voices and enhanced performance across languages including Hindi, German, Japanese, French and others.

ChatGPT Can Now Access Google Chrome Tabs
ChatGPT can now access your data from open Google Chrome tabs to answer questions on your behalf and complete tasks. This feature allows users to gather information from multiple websites in one place, making online research and comparisons easier.
The feature offers different capabilities depending on the mode being used. In Chat mode, ChatGPT can review information across open tabs and use it to provide relevant answers. In Work mode, users can ask ChatGPT to perform additional tasks, such as filling out online forms, sending messages, downloading files and grouping browser tabs. It can also collect information from multiple websites and organise it into a comparison sheet.

ChatGPT Gets 13 New Voices And Better Language Support

Alongside the Chrome feature, OpenAI has announced GPT-Live-1.1 for ChatGPT, Codex and Dots. The update brings 13 new voices and improvements to voice interactions across several languages. The supported languages include Hindi, French, German, Mexican Spanish, Korean and Japanese, among others. The changes aim to make conversations with AI sound more natural and improve the experience for users who prefer speaking in languages other than English.
Better language support could make voice-based AI tools more useful for people who want to ask questions, get information or complete tasks by speaking instead of typing.
OpenAI said the updated voice capabilities are rolling out to all users. The company also plans to bring the update to its API soon, which could allow developers to use the improved voice technology in their own applications.
