Poco M8 Power And Poco X8 May Launch Soon In India: Everything We Know So Far

Poco could soon expand its smartphone lineup in India with two new devices. According to a recent leak, the Xiaomi sub-brand is expected to launch the Poco M8 Power and Poco X8 in the country over the coming weeks. The two handsets are said to arrive as rebranded versions of the recently launched Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro, bringing familiar hardware with Poco branding. While the company has not officially confirmed the launch, the latest leak offers an early glimpse of what we can expect. Here’s everything you need to know about the rumoured Poco smartphones.
Poco M8 Power And Poco X8 Launch Timeline Leaked
As per tipster Yogesh Brar, the Chinese smartphone maker is likely to launch the Poco M8 Power and Poco X8 in India during the current quarter. Although an exact launch date has not been revealed, the timeline suggests the smartphones could make their debut within the next few weeks or months.
The leak also claims that both monikers will essentially be rebranded versions of the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro, which recently launched in China. This strategy is not new for Poco, as the Chinese tech giant has frequently introduced Redmi smartphones under different names in several global markets.
However, the tipster also hinted that pricing estimates are “bad,” suggesting the Indian variants may cost noticeably more than their Redmi counterparts in China.

Specifications And Pricing (Expected)
The Poco M8 Power is rumoured to borrow most of its hardware from the Redmi Note 17. The Redmi device was launched in China earlier this month at a starting price of CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 18,000) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset and has a massive 8000 mAh battery, the reports also suggest that the Poco M8 Power and Poco X8 could house different Snapdragon chipsets depending on the market, although specific chipset details remain unclear for now.
